About Me
Just a guy who works for a living, doesn't get any workout time other than fighting with a transport trailer and livestock all day long.
Struggles and/or Successes
Not quite sure what a stuggle is? However, I do STRUGGLE daily to keep healthy and active, all the while battling depression and MS.
Motivation
Life, family and friends are what motivate me.
Goals
Lose weight, quit smoking, eat better and get some workout routine started that I can use everyday on the road.
Routine for staying fit
My job, its routine enough, however, smoking is slowing killing me....gotta quit!!
Never Lose Your Heart

With everything going on in my life
I sometimes lose my vision
I sometimes lose my thoughts
But I never lose my heart

I wander mindlessly some days
My mind races with many ideas
I trample myself with doubts
But I never lose my heart

I make mistakes, in fact many
I hurt people, and I’ve been hurt
I listen to people, and I talk to them
But I never lose my heart

I am a tough looking guy, with a soft heart
I am a bald guy, with more hair elsewhere
I am a bugger at times, a lover other times
But I never lose my heart

I am scared of tomorrow’s light
I am scared of today’s night
I am a fighter with might
But I never lose my heart

I am a trucker, I am a biker
I am a lover, I am a fighter
I fall down, I stand up
But I never lose my heart

I walk alone, I walk tall
I crawl on my knees, I lay down
I drag my knuckles, I pound my chest
But I never lose my heart

I am a man, I am a boy
I laugh like a child, I cry like one too
I am ill, I am not well
But I never lose my heart

I will be strong again
I will fight for what I want
I will not lose this battle
Because I have not lost my heart

As most of you know, I have been busy driving across Canada all summer long, in fact, it's been one heck of a busy year to be honest. I have had very little time to compose a sentence, let alone any sort of structured mindless rants that everyone seems to enjoy. The end result of not writing more frequently, you guessed it, a cluster ^*@! of stuff to try and t… Continue

When do you really feel at your best?

I have been thinking about this a little bit lately, and to be honest, I have days like most everyone else does, I have those days where I just feel like I don't have a best. With me its more like a constant smooth line on a graph with the odd spike in activity.

Today I am trucking along and suddenly I just feel like everything I do is making sense. I know, most of you think that I am always on top of things, but in reality, I am a huge slacker..I am my own worst critic and enemy, I can tear my… Continue

So it would seem that this work schedule makes for lousy writing time

I know it sounds like a lame ass excuse, however, with the way things have been going, I just haven't felt the motivation to write. Like some of you lack motivation to work out ( as do I ), my writing requires me to feel inspired to share and be creative. The workload is crazy, I am always away from home lately, and its probably a good thing, I have to get things back in order at my house.

I have still been smoke free, with many times being tempted to start again, i.e... weight gain, stress, la… Continue

So summer has officially arrived!!

It speaks volumes when I am quiet, and it is always a good thing because it means I have been reflecting alot and been in a good mood.

I'll get the big ones out the way right here and now.

3 months smoke free, very content, in fact very happy with the way my life is working out for me right now.
Job is good, I have been quite steady and active at work. Feels good to be busting my ass when this would be the time when I would be fishing or riding my motorcycle. Even still, without the job, I can… Continue

Somewhat overdue, a little late, but, here we go with another entry

First off, let me apologize for not being more active within my commitment to blogging. I have been somewhat lacking in the motivation field to get in here and write about myself, just haven't had the need to do it, but I realize I said I was going to do something, and I really should stick to it as best I can.

The 23rd of May will be two whole months without one single puff off a cigarette, and I must admit, my lungs feel great, almost good enough to start cardio training again, which will als… Continue

Thank you for your encouragement. I have to say your comment about women being hit harder is the first time I have heard any such reference... Men typically (well statisticaly speaking) when suffering from progressive MS have a much faster progression, they are less likely to have relapsing-remitting MS as well (I forget the actual numbers, not that they matter... when someone has an illness what they are dealing with means alot more than any statistics). What type of MS do you have? this is repetitive (I hope asking again isn't intrusive) but do you have children & are they trucking with you? How are you doing with your hope of blogging every 2 days? I have found that unfortunately, when I am most ill - which is when I would most like to be blogging to share an account of my experiences - I usually am not able to be online, too fatigued to blog so I have gone days on end without making entries when I most wanted to have them. Have you had this experience in regards to your blogging? Take care, drive safely.

Thank you for the warm welcome :) I will have to read through some of your posts (maybe when the kiddies are in bed if I'm still conscious lol), it's always interesting to see how MS affects different people. I have a blog (http://www.karinahunter.com) where I try to include much of what I am dealing with regarding my battle with ms as well, treatments, pain management, ect. feel free to check it out if you're interested :) K.
